2010 Nissan Pathfinder Evo-one Install, install guide says I need 2 one amp diodes.

Question

I am looking install guide 33171.  I am installing and Evo-One with a THAR-One-NIS2 harness.  Vehicle is a 2010 nissan pathfinder with Intelligent key and I want to use the 3x lock feature for remote start.  The instructions have 2 one amp diodes in the key sense and tumbler sense connections.  Do I need these?  If so is there any other specs for these diodes, besides 1 amp, that I should look for?

***EDIT*** I attempted to install the evo-one.  I installed the diodes with the anode on the "car side".  When I tried to program the evo one for the key, everyting was going good until step 6.  The blue LED stayed on and did not flash.  Remote start did not work.

You need the keysense and tumbler connections for takeover. They are required in your application.

FOr programming did the blue light flash at step 5 ?

No the blue light never flashes. Blue LED comes on solid when i put the key into the ignition, then goes off when I turn the key to the "on" position.  Turn the key back to "lock" and the blue LED comes back on solid.
