Car 2011 QX56

EVO-ALL & THAR-NIS1 Stand Alone Service # 001 A06 585175

Guide #12681

During programing when I get to #7 The red sometimes turns off and only blue is on. I have only been able to get both red and blue to stay on twice very briefly.

In the instances when they stayed on, following the next step #8, Pressing the start and stop button x2 does not turn on the ignition. If you press it a third time or jump to #9 the the inginition turns on and it flashes rapidly. If I go  continue with the programing, the result is that the car does not remote start on pressing 3 times. Basically nothing happens, it simply locks the door 3 times.

I have an updated firmware. Did the update all over again yesterday successfully. I have been on this thing for the past 2 days. Have not done anything else all weekend.

I am at my wits end with this thing. Somebody help.

You need to remove the battery in the remote for programming. Make sure there is no other key inside the vehicle.

At the end of programming you also need to do the DCryptor process which requires the flashlink updater 2.

When you are in the vehicle, take a quick call at tech support and an agent will do ti step by step with you.

Thanks but I did all that already before posting here.

  • No key iside vehicle
  • keep key at least 10 feet away
  • remove key battery

I also have the flashlink adapter 2 ( Service # 002503 026667)  and have already updated the evo multiple times just to be certain.

The problem is that I have never been able to reach the end of the programming exactly as stated successfully.

I devoted an entire weekend to this thing and still no success.

Before entering programming, close and reopen driver door. After pressing the brake once at step 6, make sure to WAIT until the footbrake indicator in the cluster turns off before pressing the brake again.

I personally did this vehicle multiple times without issues.

Yes, I can. Just went through a lot of sequence with one of your techs until my battery died (have been on this for 3 days now) Still no solution

On step 6, please hold the brake pedal while holding the smart key next to the push to start button until the vehicle makes beeping sounds, release brake, wait until the vehicle shuts down and repeat for step 7

I have been holding the brake until the press brake pedal sign goes off on the dash-- is this what you mean in red? Because that has not worked either.
did the vehicle make beeping sounds?

holding the brake tells the vehicle that you wish to start the vehicle and it will look for the smart keys, and since you've removed both batteries, the car will now look for the keyfob next to the push to start button, and then once the vehicle validates the keys the vehicle will make beeping sounds
Yes it did but I still ended up with only the blue light after step 7. Instead of  red and blue
Have been on hold at your  tech support while posting  these replies
You only have to hold the brake until the beeping sound starts and the brake icon is in the cluster. When the blue led is on, press the push button twice to turn on the ignition. The blue LED will turn off and after a couple second will start to flash rapidly. Press the push button once to shut off the ignition.
Any resolution.  Having the same exact problem.  No red AND Blue light after 2nd brake pedal pressing.  Continued on to decrypt successfully.  Car wont start after 3x.  All other options correct.  Wasted a day on this.  Frustrating.
