2018 Nissan Frontier Guide # 72031 - parking lights and horn, and lock/unlock

0 votes
Successfully installed an Evo One with THAR-ONE-NIS2 and remote start is working. In the guide, it points to the hill assist button to tap into the parking lights, I do not have that button, and I could not find the plug near there to tap into it. Is there another option?

I also have no horn when arming / disarming / starting. The guide doesn't mention one, is it possible to have this?

Locking with the remote works, but unlocking can usually takes hitting the button twice. Is this normal, or do I need to triple check my connections? I ran the purple and purple-white wires to the lock/unlock wires in the driver side kick panel.

If you did not connect the Orange wire to the Purple/white, you will need to set double pulse unlock, option 8.2 in the remote starter settings.

Horn confirmations for lock-unlock will require that the horn be connected. The horn output on the evo-one is the orange/black wire, it is a negative trigger output.

The electric brake pre-wiring in the car. 8 pin white connector near the ignition connector.  harness. http://www.wirecolor.com/vehiclegroupimage/71451.jpg

Thank you! Great answers.

One more thing, is there a known connection for the horn on the vehicle? I have no idea where to begin to find that.
horn negative trigger on the car should be a brown or red wire.

You can find this connector in the driver kick panel. http://www.wirecolor.com/vehiclegroupimage/71461.jpg
