Mazda 3 cruise control fails after takeover / also alarm doesn't work?

I installed an Evo-One in my 2016 Mazda 3 last week. I ran into several configuration issues that I have been able to work through, but I still have 2 that I can't figure out.

First, after remote starting and a successful takeover, my cruise control fails to work. It turns on but wont accept any setting. I think this must be a bug in the firmware. If I manually start the car the cruise works just fine. This is confusing to me since the Evo-One shouldn't affect the cruise at all, right?

Second, The alarm doesn't seem to work at all. It arms (LED on the antenna confirms it) and locks the doors like it is arming, but if I break in, nothing happens, no lights, no horn and the LED stays a steady blinking light like nothing is wrong. Does the Evo-One only control the OEM alarm, or does it have its own alarm built in (this is what I was assuming).

Everything else works as designed. Great solution for remote starting a manual transmission.

What is the service number written on the back of your module ?

The EVOONE has a built-in alarm that needs to be activated using option 14 to mode 2.

Are you activating the cruise control at a high enough speed ? Most factory cruise control won't activate below 50 km/h.

Yes, I have activated 14 to mode 2 plus I have changed most of the other alarm control options around to just about every possible combonation and I can't get the alarm to sound. It looks like it arms, the LED on the antenna flashes as expected. Fast while arming, slow when armed, but if I open a door, nothimg happens.

The cruise wont work at any speed after remote starting.

My module is tucked up in the dashboard so I can't get at that number right now. I'll try to get it soon.
You would need to physically wire in the horn/siren wire to the vehicle's alarm wire if you want the Evo's built in alarm to sound the oem alarm horn.

This used to be the way we used to interface with the vehicle, but with the latest firmware and  connections we were now able to control the OEM alarm and no longer need to enable the evo-alarm
Please download the latest guide REV 20170316 guide number 63621 and download the latest firmware, there are wiring changes, please redo the installation to match the one in the latest revision of the guide and with the latest firmware will fix the cruise control issue you were experiencing.
