alarm sounds

2013 f 150 updated when i try to start the alarm goes off insted.i have treid everything it worked for a week then started alarming

What module is used ?

Installed with a t-harness or not ?

Please provide the module service number.

The alarm sounds and the remote start does not start ? Sound like something is wrong with the transponder.

Disarm happens by turning on igntion and transponder on these trucks.

 

Are you using 3 lock start?

Aftermarket remotes?

 

What system?

 

OEM alarm is typically armed with OEM remotes. If you lock with aftermarket remotes alarm typically doesnt get armed and thus no alarm trigger on remote start.

 

Does the truck actually start? (Im guessing it doesnt) When you remote start, watch the PATS anti-theft left. Odds are its flashing when you try and start.

 

Depending on the system installed, its typically a loss of PATS programming or signal. The old Ford OEM bypasses fail all the time causing this issue.

 

Try reprogramming the system. Check your RX and TX connections .
